So, ladies and gentlemen, I'm glad to be able to say I have finished my fourth semester of college! WHATTT??!! I know, believe me, I feel like I'm still a freshmen sometimes. Here is a quick updates since I last blogged:
-I'm going to volunteer for this Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund event on June 3rd and I'm totally psyched for it!
-I volunteered to be part of the choir to sing at the Baccalaureate Mass my university will be having this coming Sunday. I'm so glad to be singing again because just knowing I won't be in chorale next semester is making me sad. We had two rehearsals for the mass this Sunday and let me tell y'all, I've gotten so much better at sight-reading. Speaking of which, this girl next to me complimented on my singing and sight-reading skills and even asked me if I was going to audition for the chamber choir but unfortunately I can't because I have a different class at that time. Either way though, it was nice to get so many compliments.
-I've been having a rough time with a situation that I thought would be resolved by now but it's just tense. Please send good thoughts that this all works out and that I continue to be strong and not let things get to me, however difficult it may be.
-I'm thinking of being part of the church choir at my university!
-Alpha Chi inductions were successful and I didn't have a meltdown on my mom's birthday. ( I ate shrimp scampi, her favorite)
-I'm thinking of working at this baby theme park for children over the summer. I actually used to go there as a child so I think it would be nice if I could work there. Plus, I need the money! Haha.
-I'm still in shock that school's over! Yay! Oh, I got 100 on my upper-level English class final! Crazy, I know!
-I'm excited to do so many things this summer (including spending time with my special someone, wink wink.)
-BIG NEWS: I've lost 14 pounds! I absolutely love this feeling!
-I'm so excited to start my summer classes and fall classes (I will mention those in another post).
-I'm starting to fall asleep so until next time! Thanks for reading!
Oh and May the 4th be with you!

The Story
Hello dear readers. I know I have said this in pretty much every single blog but this week has been super crazy. First of all, my mom has been having stomach pain/bloating, it's confusing so she will be having a CT scan soon, we pray to God that this sucky cancer isn't spreading. This is the point where I usually break down, but I don't know what's been happening but I haven't broken down (yet). I really need y'alls prayers. Thanks. My mom will also be having this new thing to lower her calcium given to her over 4 hours and that's this tuesday. Please pray.
Yesterday and today I volunteered for this Choral Festival held at my school. It was really nice to help out and see (and listen to) different choirs in the process. That was super fun.
Of course I have to talk about this...Grey's Anatomy was especially nice this past week. It was the music event episode and it was absolutely amazing. Below is probably my favorite song from the episode. Shonda Rhimes is brilliant (along with all the cast and crew) and have made my goal of becoming a television producer even more exciting. Grey's Anatomy and Parenthood are just a couple of shows that inspire me (as cheesy as that sounds). So anyway, enjoy this video below. :)

*Amy fact: I love watching really good television shows. If you know of any amazing ones, I'm open to watching almost anything, let me know of any good ones. :) *

Corn on the Cob and a Dollar Bill
Okay so this week has been super crazy. Wednesday was my mom's first chemo for the third time, if that makes sense. This time it was in a different office because their clientele is expanding, which really only means that more people are being diagnosed with cancer, or at least that's how I think of it. Anyway, they require a bigger office now so we went to their new office on wednesday, and boy, was it big!!! It was really nice though, their chemo room is like close to 7 times as big as their old chemo room used to be and they have very modern decorations, it's nice. Well unfortunately I had to go to school that day but I was going to pick my mom up between my breaks, which on wednesdays is like a three hour long break so it was perfect. When I picked her up she was doing pretty well, it was amazing. The day before was a nightmare, she was shaking and under extreme stress, I was very happy to see my mom doing so much better. As much as I hate chemo and the horrible effects it sometimes has on her, it gives me hope that this chemo is working and controlling the cancer.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention in my couple of last posts that last week my veneer fell off :( Okay so yeah, I had a veneer on my top left lateral incisor (I'm pretty sure that's what it's called) and I could only chew mainly on the right side of my mouth because the veneer is pretty fragile so yeah anyway it fell off while I was eating a salad! Isn't that crazy? It was a pretty good salad though, it was a caesar salad :) Anyway so my mom and I had been trying to find a dentist that could fix it, but it was taking a while. By the way, I also have a fake tooth, yeah, it's crazy, it's on my retainer, anyway, I haven't been able to eat corn on the cob since I got my veneer put on like three years ago, so I was like "Mom! Let's buy some corn on the cob so I can eat it!" yeah, pretty dorky of me, but yeah, I ate like three of those in a course of two days. haha. Well, long story short, I can't get the veneer put back on, or at all really because the better option for my situation is a crown, which nobody ever told me, but whatever, so that is being put on hold for now, just like my implant (tooth) so I can pretty much eat corn on the cob whenever I want and also pickles (another food I couldn't eat because of my veneer)!!!! :) Well, I could eat pickles but not without cutting it up, old lady style, so I'm excited to eat pickles without having to cut them up. Haha.
Wow, this is a long post, sorry y'all, I've just got soo much to say! I'm almost done. Oh yeah, I found this one dollar bill in my wallet and I was about to use to buy a coke when I noticed what it said, so I kept it :) Also, in Chorale, we have this really amazing piece it's African-inspired, totally amazing! Chorale is super fun. Oh and Acting is seriously like one of my highlights of the week, it's really nice, everybody is so nice, and I get to pretend to be an athletic boy next class! Like that's so much fun! I probably sound like a total dork, but what else is new? Haha. Oh and my History of Christianity class is so interesting, now if only we didn't need to have quizzes and tests, that would be nice :)
Well, thanks for reading this super long blog post, I will try to keep them shorter. Thanks to all who prayed for my mom, the prayers are deeply appreciated :) Keep praying that her side effect (muscle pain) doesn't get bad. Thank you guys! :)

First semester=almost done.....WHAT?
So today was really nice! I had my very first Chorale (choir) concert! It was really really nice. It was crazy though because it was a lot of people's last concert and it was my first concert, very symbolic. This week are finals, boo...but I have like 3 media-related project finals, two of them are already done! I made my first video this past weekend along with my first webpage this past week. I have been very busy lately with all these 2nd semester things. Aaah!
On the other hand, my mom is doing pretty good. She started driving and I am not so stressed when it comes to the car situation. Except that the other day there was this accident, my mom and I couldn't see it, all we saw were the fire trucks and police cars and it just brought back horrible memories, but we are okay now.
I am actually really excited for next semester, I cannot believe it's just around the corner. Oh and plus, Christmas is less than 20 days away!!!! Yepeee! I love the holidays and this amazing weather!

Oh here is something that I saw the other day at my school. It totally reminded me of Grey's Anatomy :] Haha. Dr. Yang=Sandra Oh

My love
| I love my Yankees :] |
I absolutely love this weather! I just got this new NEW YORK YANKEES scarf! I love it! It's weird because today was the last "regular" day in like 5 out of my 6 classes! My freshman year in college is almost halfway over! Isn't that crazy? Today was really nice because Chorale (choir) was fun! I have been figuring out these media projects more and more (which is totally making me feel smart haha)
My mom's right arm has been hurting her lately, well actually since yesterday, I don't know part of me is worried, but I keep praying that she'll be okay. I wanted to start writing back in this blog because I noticed that I only wrote 6 posts in November which bugs me because the other months I had like 8, I know that's weird, anyway, I'll try to write more.
Parenthood wasn't on last night :[ but....Grey's Anatomy is on tomorrow!!! :]
Thanks for reading this totally random blog!

I'll have "life is crazy" for $500 Alex.
Okay so today my mom had a doctor's appt with the ortho. oncologist, yeah it was ka;ljdl but because we had woken up superrr early my mom and I took a nap while waiting for the doctor, it was nice. It's moments like that that I'll remember forever. They switched her from her arm sling to this clam-like looking thing that they put on her upper arm (where her humerus is) it reminds me of the mask in Freddy vs. Jason (even though I've never seen the movie, but it still reminds me of it). I will be driving more but it's okay because I really lovee our silver fox. It was pretty stressful today but I got my choir dress! yepee! I can't wait til our first concert! The party that we had in my mass comm class was nice. I miss orchestra a little. I want it to be next semester so I can maybe hopefully (cross your fingers) start the whole minor thing ...in THEATREEE my love, I still don't know how this works, college is superr different from high school. Oh which reminds me today, on my way to chorale, aka choir, I saw this girl with a black eye, I found it really weird because my school is very religious-oriented and then I saw this other girl with this crazy looking scar/open wound, I couldn't really tell and then I realized that the theatre class for stage makeup had just been let out, it was nice. I really want to be super involved next semester. We'll see. Ohh AND... I found a penny! (heads up), I was just happy because it was a penny! The ortho. oncologist that my mom went to see today was a little booger, he was just being very negative, and that's really the last thing we need, he was saying that she needed radiation (even though her oncologist said it wasn't necessary) we'll see what happens.
Please keep praying for my momma!

Thinking positively.
So I haven't written anything for a while now, yeah, that's college I guess. I'll try to include everything that is important. So let's see...my mom and I have been taking the bus more, which isn't so bad, we try to somehow make it not so tyring, like the other day we stopped and ate before we took the second bus, that was fun. Oooh, I think one of the most stressful things out of this week was that we drove by (in the bus) by the accident site, it was veryy surreal, it was like a little playback of the accident played in my head, it was very overwhelming. I saw the accident site twice already. My mom and I wanted to go there and thank the guy that was with us until the ambulance came, so we'll see. We haven't gotten a car yet, (obviously because we are still taking the bus) but it's kind of okay with me, just for a while, that we don't have the car yet, I don't know.
I had another dream with kittens which (according to the Spanish dream book) means that I will experience sadness, deceit, and other depressing things like that. Darn.
My mom will have her scans and labs next week (like at the end of the week) and I'll be able to help her! I have fall break for those two days! Yepee!
Oooh, school has been pretty nice, chorale (aka choir) has been really fun, I love the atmosphere of it and the people I sit next to are really nice. Not to toot my own horn but I have pretty good grades right now and my philosophy professor just canceled the test for next week! :) We get to do a project instead related to media stuff and philosophy. My classes are pretty enjoyable at the moment.
All in all, I would say I'm doing okay. When I start to think to much about the accident and all the issues that have come out of that I do get very angry, which I really don't like but I'm working on it. I am finding myself planning stuff for next semester, like working on joining an Honor Society, maybe this other group called Catholic Daugthers of America, continuing Chorale, re-join orchestra, maybe theatre stuff...? I'll keep you posted.
Thanks for reading!
Please pray for my mom and my aunt.

Looks like we made it
Well what a week! Let's see we'll start with the most important events.
I went with my mom to her oncologist appt. and her blood pressure is fantastic!! Yey Momma! The doctor said that her labs look good so we are happy. That day she got this liquidy thing to strengthen her bones (which has horrible side effects, she gets shivers and then she gets really hot) but I think that she is starting to feel better. Yay! :] It was crazy though because in the chemo room (where she was getting the liquidy thing), which was very busy, we were talking to people and their "cancer stories" (I guess you could say) and it's just like "Wow, I really hate cancer. You know?" There was this older lady from Hawaii, she was adorable, and then these two sisters, one of them getting chemo and the other one just there for support, it was really nice. Anyway, then my mom got her chemo-ish injection, which is painful, but so far it's working. I pray that it lasts for a very long time.
My aunt also had a lung biopsy on wed. the 25, the doctors are thinking that it is not cancer but it was still very scary. I don't want anyone else getting this sucky disease. On wed. I had a doc appt. because of my lower back surgery over the summer, he said that the incision closed but that I shouldn't be doing anything really crazy.
Next week I will start my second week of college. :] I really enjoy choir and orchestra and getting to see new people. I really want to be involved in theatre but I don't want to overload myself. We'll see. I'll keep you posted :]
Well, thanks for reading! Ciao!
